17's in front, 18's in rear?

What do you guys think about this? I have been thinking about this for a while now because my rear wheels don't look as big or as wide as I would like them to.

As long as you don't have ABS you should be good. Do not do it if you have Anti-lock Braking System.

I know what you mean though. I've noticed that too on many pictures. From the front it looks like the front wheels are huge, the effect is lessened when looking from the rear, but it's still kinda there. Maybe it's the ratio of the tire to the body structure above it? I wouldn't do it though. If you lower your car it'll be even less noticeable I think.

Grey: Thanks for reminding me to change the URL in my signature, I totally forgot. The pics of my car are old. I have dropped it since then with Neuspeed Sport Springs (1.75/1.5). But I still feel as though the rear wheels aren't big enough. If only the offset was different so that they stuck out a little further from the fender well.

Why would the ABS thing matter? I'd like to know...

I would love to see what that would look like. Keep us posted if you decide to do it.

The only thing is getting my Shu-4's in gunmetal. Autotech has been on backorder forever on my color. Should I buy 4 rims or just two? If I buy 4, then I can pseudo-rotate my tires....

there's no point in doing 17's in front and 18's in the back unless u just want a sportier look.
Adding 18's in the back will just put more weight on ur car........

The ABS is made to balance braking and if the wheel ratio on the front and the back
is off by 17x7 in front and 18x7.5 or 18x8 it will upset the ECU programming that
controls the ABS.

i think that would look sweet, the newest generation Vettes have the same combo, 17" in the front, 18" in the back... I know we're talkin Chevy tech's at work here with this idea , but yet, the Corvette has never seemingly failed in design go for it!
