Gas Line Anti-freeze?

Is gas line anti-freeze necessary in colder climates?

It probably doesn't hurt, but most Canadian gas companies now have specially formulated gas for our winters... like that PetroCanada Winter Gas, which they say will prevent gas line freezing. If it gets really cold, I may use a bottle of gasline antifreeze on every second fill-up, just to be safe.
