Simple question concerning A/C
I have always wondered if turning on the A/C to full blast uses more gas than minimum A/c. My brother told me that it doesn't matter if it's on full blast or one notch, it just controls the fan speed.
So does this mean that the colder the AC setting, the more gas used?

it doesnt matter if it is on full blast cold or full blast hot, when you turn on your ac, your compressor is now turning on and off creating an added load in the car, which means the idle will have to compensate for that thus adding fuel. But the amount isnt much different then if you werent using your ac.
