just take it to hondas bodyshop. That way you will get quality work and OEM parts. ANd since you dont have to pay, you dont have to worry. Since your car is that new, I would go to honda.
why does everyone want to get the most money from insurance? you should go for the best quality of work and parts. not just the most expensive. in a small way everyone who takes their car to west coast customs type shops to have oem work done drive up everybodys insurance rates. go for the best quality dont just try to rape insurance companys because they do go out of business every once in a while. and that lowers competition which drives up cost.

insurance companys don't work like that... They give you the estimate, and you go to the shop they tell you to go to, but you can recommend a shop you'd like to go to, not always your choice though.

We took our accord to Scott Robinson Honda, which does do insurance bodywork.
Not many dealers have bodyshops, though.
A flawless job on the front end. And insurance didn't object.

take your car wherever you want and have the body shop buy whatever parts you want because if the dealer hood costs 400 bucks the insurance has to pay 400 bucks and they cant say anything if you get a 500 dollar CF hood as long as you pay the difference this goes for all parts, but if your aftermarket part is cheaper than their price they only pay that price.
They are tight in most ways. The insurance companies do have list and certain insurance companies require the shop to be on that list. Some insurance companies take your highest estimate and mail you the check and let you do what you want with it. My advice is if they mail you the check go ahead and look for body kits and aftermarket fenders and hoods. For the same price to fix it you may be able to upgrade to a customized job......If you want to come to Louisiana I can hook you up........Kool Kustoms Paint and Body Shop.
when I did a claim im on my insurance I chose the body shop. They tried to tell me its not a "State farm 5 star body shop" or some crap like that, I told em its a trusted shop and I insist on the repairs being done there. They didn't argue that. Body shops usually dont cut the best deals to insurance companies though
