im very sorry. i thought that you meant cylinder head. not exhaust header. it should be fine. an exhaust header would be the same for all civics of our gen. except si models. yeah i guess it would be worth it. sorry again for the mis-read.

the header will be diff at the mid pipe bolts. there are 2 bolts on dx/lx civics and a 3 bolt-on style on ex's. so u'd need a piece to make up for the ex, which i got from magna-flow with my cat-back exhaust.

I did the custom exhuast way to go cheap.. please.. Do it Right.. just get a cat-back system.. I had problems with the muffler shop cause the cat wanted to tap against my frame cause they screwed up. (sorry for venting)
I went to um... mieneke and dug through there 3 bolt flanges.. they gave it to me free...if you go the custom exhuast route.
