Door Panles

Ok so i am new to this site and to the DIY portion of Vic's here is my question. I have a 02 coupe and my friend said he could reupholster the section of material in the door so that it would be black to match my seats(racing seats...and i have beige interior) well anyway it looks like sh*t so i have heard that i could maybe bondo the section to make it smoothe or fiberglass it and paint it. Anyone have any suggestions...or has anyone done it?...I would appreciate any advice thanks!

basically that carpet part of the door panel is just glued on. It's not stiched on from behind like most people think so you don't have to take the panels off, but it would be easier to work on it when it's flat on the ground. start picking at the edge until the fabric starts to lift and then you can peel the rest off.

I haven't seen anyone bondo it to make an entirely smooth surface yet! sounds like a good idea

welcome to the site

there are tons of threads on this. I've done it and its easy. Just remove panels and other parts. Its easier on a sedan cause everythings held by screws. Pull off old, put some spray glue, and put on new.

i put suede on mine. The key is cover the whole surface with spray glue the 3M super 90 stuff in green can and lay it down. I Had vinyl before and that also came out perfect.
