Carpet Taken Out?

Has anyone removed the carpet from the cabin for any reason? I understand about all the crap that could happen, and that most of you all will think it is a stupid idea and such but I am just wondering...

yea I've taken it out to put foam padding and sound deadener underneath. It just pulls up mostly, just held down by the plastic trim pieces.

did it permanently on my bro's Del Sol..... it has more noise in the cabin but not a big deal. DId this b/c the roof was leaking and the carpets got soaked. Taking them out wasnt too hard. Could do that and remove the panels and such and do a nice big clean up.
