Remote entry problem
Remote entry problem
Well, came outside after work today and tried to unlock my car with my key fob. After pressing the unlock button many times I came to the conclusion that the drivers side door will not unlock. Took the car home and took the paneling off of the door. Everything looks alright but the sliding piece that shows if the door is locked or unlocked does not move. The Passengers side lock works correctly. Another thing to add, I can lock and unlock the drivers side door with a key so it can't be the lock itself. What do you all think is the problem here?
If I can't find out, I will be taking it to the shop tomorrow to find out whats up.
Thanks!

You can verify if you're getting intermittent power to that door, but it's unlikely. Just put a test light to the acutator harness and see what happens when you flip the switch both directions. If you're getting power and the lock still won't work, that again confirms the actuator is dead.
