6 grand what to do?
Alright, my buddy wants me to play pimp his ride. He's got a 00 civic si. Nother really done to it *yet* but were fixin to. We all know what the B16a2 is capable of, but im tyrin to find that leathel combonation or get some opions on it. this subject has probably been killed, but still
Right now this is what im thinking *got 6 grand to spend* found a shop down in Houston that will install a turbo, for around 3500, custome tubing, intercooler, just everytihng. *still cheeper than any kit ive found out there*then bump up the cams to some turbo cams to complement that turbo *round like 350* and throw on a hks fireball exsaust, free up a little of that air flow. *bout 700* so that leaves me about 1500 to play with. So im thinking a Type R tranny gear set *can get the gears for about 400* Any sugestions? Shooting for enought hp and tq to make it hall. what do you think? Any sugestions?

Yeah I agree, definitely get the car dyno tuned to optimize your Air/Fuel Ratio
But this best thing to get is a really tough clutch from either clutchmasters or Exedy. And an aluminum flywheel with a cast iron inlay to rev faster and still work like the stock one did.
You can have all the power in the world but if u cant use it whats it good for?

dont forget the clutch, valve springs /ret for those cams. head gasket and arp headstuds would be cheap insurance. Also a good boost controller and guages to kkep an eye on thinkgs would not be a bad idea. If he has the money don't skimp on the safeguards.

6 grand and still have a good everyday driver. I would say go with a full t3 turbo and run an NX entercoler setup for raceing, new cams, pistons/rings, and stronger headbolts. run taht on about 11psi or so and hondata tune it on a dyno. and yo uwould still have cash for rims, drop, etc.

So far the most out of a k20 is about 295 (*import tunner*) Na.. But Im not really to sure how much you can get out of a b16a2 NA. Besides the fact youll spend a tone more money doing that that just slapping a trubo and some goodies on it. (not to mention eaither way you go, your going to be changing the type of fule you use. ie octane boosters and what not) So were sticking with the trubo idea for now. NOt saying NA aint bad. seen a few videos on that. But i would say NA is more for Circut racing vs straight aways. You only uses those extra rpms, to gaine that little extra speed *and save time in the shifts* on turns and stuff. So yeah
