Today my car is acting funny and i don't know what the cause of it. When it only happen when it cold start the car. I turn the engine on and my rev meter is bouncing up and down. It sound like the car is going to die and alive again over and over untill my car is warm up. It drive fine. This is my second times it happen today. I'm gettting little worry.

any new changes or mods lately? if so check them get a obd2 scanner and see whats going on, how long has it been since you changed plugs, has this started since the last time you got fuel, maybe bad fuel, tell me signs and symptons and i can help more, message me and i'll help. also when the car is warming up the car does'nt rely on the o2 sensors to adjust the fuel so it leans the car out and runs a lil rough, mine does that a lil, you might also have a bad map sensor iat sensor or something lemme know man.

I been driving my car for 2 year with i/h/e. The last time i drove my car is on sunday and it pretty much fine.It been raining crazy for past 2 days.Untill today tuesday i started my car, it seem fine for 5-10 second then the reving started while my car is on N(manual). It go up and down it seem like it going to die and then alive for couple of times. It fine when my car is warmed up i can drive prefectly normal. There are no error message or cel. I use 89 arco gas <-- been using it when i first got my car.

sounds like the map sensor to me. you can TRY a couple things. remove your ecu fuse. disconnect your plugs to to iat sensor and to the map sensor. inspect your wires! mine corroded from the clip that plugs into these sensors. it threw everything off. remove your map sensor and with a q-tip or like object clean the port. reconnect and let run for about 15 mins.... the harness for this is hard to find and only the dealer will sell it to you. the entire wire harness for the 3 sensors runs almost $375- if your wire connection is bad write down the color scheme of the wires and what side of the plug they were on. buy some pins and make your own.

you can try the idle relearn process too. reset your ecu and then start the car. hold it at 3000rpms until it warms up. then let it idle for 5min. that might fix it. the way I do it is I'll drive it and get it warmed up. then reset the ecu. hold it at 3000 for about 15-20 sec. and then let it idle for 5min. worked for me when my idle was all funky. you may also have a vac. leak. I had a vac leak once and it did that. I'd check for vac. leaks before you do the idle relearn though.
