trunk popper
i remember a while ago people were able to do this, with the truck opener from like a 98 accord or something , are people still doing this, and is it possible on a 05 lx sedan, as well , is it possible to get a controller from an accord and just change out the key and the signal to match your car or whatever to just make it look like it belongs, rather then with an aftermarket alarm?

Circuit city did mine on the 02 sedan recently. Bolts right on, controled with my viper alarm by pressing two buttons. The relay it came with didn't work, they had to use another one and hook it up. Paid around $40 for install, $35 for the part off handaaccessories.com

not just the remote, the factory alarm in general doesnt have an available channel. The install took me 20-30 minutes, the hard part being hooking up the relay and running the wire to the trunk.

you can use the Canadian Acura EL pooper, security moduel, and relay and you will have it without installing an alarm, but you might as well get an alarm since you have added security for almost the same money.

you would think so but OEM diagram either use 1,2,3,4,also 5 (if spdt relay, trunk popper relay has 4 pins (spst)) or just plain coil and pole diagram.
the bosch type relay uses 85,86,30,87,87a(spdt relay), they dont look at he diagram on top of the relay. you will be surprise, alarm installers are so used to the bosch-type relays but when theyre given something slightly diff, just cant seem to figure it out.
