Removing Stock exhaust???

I was wondering...im not sure but when i removed my stock exhaust and took it for a test drive...it felt slow...but with a nice sound...my question is do i lose power?..or is it b/c there is no back presure?.....u guys tell me???

Hmmm, I wonder....I just don't get the back pressure issue, seems like the less you have the better...
