high beam and low beam from the same side share the same fuse. basically you have a fuse for the left headlight, and another one for the right side.
the current drawn from the the beam depends on what bulbs you put in. if you put a 100w bulb in high beam, and a 55w bulb in low beam, then the high beam will draw more power.
