Unhappy ratteling noise under the hood

I just installed a CAI and ever since then my engine seems to be shaking more. When i am driving and then come to a stop thats when i hear it. However, when the rattleing starts and i put it into neutral the rattleing stops. Has anyone experienced this.
thanks

I have that too but mine still does it while im in neutral. Im going to the muffler shop 2morrow to get my pipes rebent/reangled and to have everything checked for air leaks. Is yours under the hood or do you think it could be under the car?

are you sure the cai isn't too far up and is hittin the hood? if so cut and shorten the rubber so that you can push it down a little more.

i had a problem with something rattling but it was only my intake hitting my strut bar which was keeping the engine from going back to where it sits when there's no load on it so i had to fix my intake and then it stopped..

the noise is coming from under the hood for sure..because as soon as i open it the rattling stops....iam definetly going to cut that rubber because i think that may be the problem with the intake being to high and hitting the hood
thanks

yeah the company could of just based their piping on another manufacturers design and just give a certain length of the rubber hose and may not of really test fit it or somethin like that.

i have to disagree with u Boggie1688 about any intake giving u the sucking sound. cuz my bro has an AEM short ram, and i cant hear his while he drives by. mine is noticable even over my exhaust. But i definetly agree with u in regards to quality and fit

All aftermarket intakes will give the sucking sound. Some aren't as loud as others, but if u idle it and punch it a it will suck...I was surpised at my stock intake cuz it sucks too, and its noticeable. The loudest i've heard was my friends 318i intake without a filter (he is trying to mess up his car fast). I can't say anything about the SRI cuz I've never been inside a car that has one...soo I'm gunna take ur word that SRI don't make the sound.
