i have the skunk2 catback, i love it to death. the only problem i have is once in while, mostly when it rains, it will rattle at idle. probably against some heat sheild or something. it happens sometimes when it isn't raining too. i know that the factory exhaust had these bolts with springs on them, the hardware that came with the skunk2 exhaust didn't have springs. i wonder if the springs stop it from rattling or what. i don't know if the factory bolts will work or not, but before i climb under the car to check, does anyone know how else this could be fixed?

bigger piping hits the heat shields. You could get under there and start wrapping stuff with thermotec heat wrap. That should help.

hmm, darn. i didn't want to have to buy anything. i'm thinking about trading in the civic for a wrx in a few months, in the mean time i was looking for a fix. how much is heat wrap anyway?

$30? I think dezod has some. Only other fix is having a muffler shop bend the pipes down more.
