Adding Vetec ???????
sure, you could swap the top end and ecu...but for what that would cost why not just sell your car and by the EX? or even better why not take that money and turbocharge/supercharge or throw a 50 shot of NOS into the mix....hey if you went the NOS route you would have enough money to get the latest comp. controlled system plus do all the other mods on your wish list....sohc vtec just ain't that good anyway.....(now ive done it, everyones going to hate me!!)

i think spending money on changing a non-vtec into a vtec is like..
might as well use that money on something else, maybe go buy a car with DOHC Vtec

<< on a 7th gen?? so not worth it right now >>
It may not be worth it at the moment, but the 7th gen civic sits on a similar chasis as a RSX. I'm waiting until i can get a hold of a complete rearend and side damage RSX. Save the K seriers motor and throw it in! It'll be the fastest all motor 7th gen on the street. I've thought of the B series or the H series motor, but the tranny lines dont line up with the new chasis. so K series is the best bet. it's only a matter of time when the K series motor will be availible on the net.

K series spins in the other direction, that means you must be into spending lots of money when you should just have bought the rsx to begin with. READ HONDA TUNING MAGAZINE, they had an article a while back OR do a search i cannot believe how many times this has been brought up, junior.
haha....
gotta think of it this way...
yea...you would be spending a grip swappin in tha k20c engine/tranny/ecu and all that other good stuff....and yea people are gonna say "you might as well buy the RSX"...and bla bla bla....but can u imagine it if it were done? poppin open the hood of a civic lx and seeing I-VTEC on the valve cover? hehe....then looking in the interior and seeing the 6-SPEED shift? haha...
imagine a 6-speed 200hp civic...dayam....that would fade any RSX out there....plus....if you want to enter shows and stuff...you'll be turning heads....who's gonna forget a 200hp (more if you add intake, turbos...wuteverz), 6speed civic? also with the cost and all...its not like alot of people are gonna be doing it....so you'll also be hella unique...
besides...the RSX is fricken ugly...i think 7th gen civics look better....the rsx looks like a shredded up integra with big eyes....the only thing i like about the RSX is tha engine....
people always tell you NO until you do it...then it becomes "ooohs" and "ahhhhs" hehehe....

sure it can be done, but who in their right mind is going to cut up a BRAND new car still under LOTS of waranty....
this swap CAN, and WILL be done - probably by several people..... but not for +-3 years after our cars loose their value and warranty - and there are several 2002 SI's and RSX's that have been cracked up and the parts are available cheap.
