Don't feel bad dude. I think all of us have wondered about those worthless resistors at one point or another. The problem with them is that the ecu adjusts to the resistor and the mod stops working. There are only two things you can do to get noticable gains with your civic. Boost or swap. Or you could be a cool guy and buy the resistor and a ebay intake

Take that resistor you bought and throw it in the trash. Don't buy an underdrive pulley. I think if you serch around, you'll find that many people who have tried them on this site have had problems. If I were you, I would save up my money for a nitrous kit (I hear NX & ZEX are good). Maybe an intake too, so you don't have to drill any holes in your stock equipment. All this other stuff is just a waste of money.
I understand what it's like to be broke and wanting to mod your car, but I think you'll be much happier if you wait and buy something that actually works.

Put in the resistor, it will increase at least 20 horsepower as advertised

They are the best mod. I took a turbo off, because that chip just seemed to work so much better. Was torquey as hell, almost like NOS. How old are you BTW, welcome to the site. Those underdrive pulleys are even better, especially from Ebay.....

You better search and find answers before you put those on! DEFINATELY SEARCH before installation/ordering on what they will affect! But you got my opinion

Here we go again. Honda didn't include the resistor, but some guy on ebay discovered its magical properties. Most cars will see at least 20hp gain. Remember this same mod is available at radio shack for $0.50.

Gearbox, I must disagree with you on this one. The resistor will net you around 40rwhp on the 2001+ Honda Civic. You have to also remember that we have the Atessa AWD system from the Nissan Skyline.

Has anyone tried adding two resistors to get even more hp? Like 60whp?
