AEM CAI for 02
AEM CAI for 02
Hey everybody,
I hope thisa is the right forum for this question.
I haven't been here in a while, good to see this place still exists.
Anyway, I am considering getting an AEM Cold Air intake for my 02 civic coupe. The problem is, I looked on the AEM website and I can only find a model for manual transmission. I know, why did I ever get an auto transmission?
Well, whats done is done. Anyway, does anyone know if AEM offers Cold Air intakes for an A/T 02 civic?

Does anyone have any pics of a Short Ram, installed. From what I got from the AEM website, the Short Ram doesn't place the filter in a location for cold air to reach it (as a CAI does.) Will the Short Ram add consiberable horsepower? Is it worth it?
AEM CAI's don't fit on automatics, only manual transmission. Something to do with only manual tranny's having a place to attach it. Just get the AEM V2. It's a short ram, and more expensive, but it supposedly has better gains than the regular CAI. Or maybe I'm just on crack.
But yea... no intake is really gonna give you that much hp. Makes your car sound a lot better tho

I upgraded from an ebay intake to an aem v2. There was a noticeable dif in both power and sound. Lots of you dis bolt ons, but my ex manual with v2 and a dc sports header definitely makes my car more fun, and I can accelerate in fifth gear on hills that I used to have to go up in fourth gear.
