Question on DIY clearing headlights...
hello, i am reading the DIY and I'm confused about the last step....what's this "Exception" in the last step all about? Why do you need the silicone for? What does it mean by steps 10-18...(is that just the # of steps to put everything back together?)? Yeah so I'm a big time newbie who has never fiddled with cars What mainly bugs me is that Exception word and the silicone...so help! thanks
The silicone is for making a water tight seel around the lights. You don't want condensation inside your lights, it looks bad! and yes, the steps 10-18 are just for puting them back together.
Good luck, it looks great!

There is a rim around the edge of the seals you had to pull apart....about a 1/4" trench around that edge...fill that with the silicone
or yes, you will have fogging and water vapor and all that crap.....just fill the edge up with silicone sealant, and put it together and let it
sit for about a half hour, then put the lights back in.
