I have been running the Hp header with thier o2 sim for 4 months with no problem, no rubbing, and nice gains. I think if I did not have motor mount inserts the header would hit the front of the subframe a bit.

I originally got it to get the most out of my mods...an extra 5 hp or so with a nice fuel curve. You can run without with no troubles, but if you want that little extra. Then I say get it, and get it tuned.

I used a torch to burn off part of the frame. Get it glowing then chip it off. Be sure to paint the cut part with high temp paint so that it won't rust. Also wait til it cools a little before painting. If you don't have a torch i'm sure a metal file will work, but it'll take you a while to do.
Tell me if you find a blue wire on rear o2 sensor. The directions say to run the long blue wire from the front o2 sim to the rear o2 sensor. then to cut the o2 sensor's blue wire and connect the long blue o2 sim wire to it. I didn't find a blue wire on the o2 sim. the only thing i found was a black, gray, and two whites. HP said to take it to a performance shop to have them do it. I was so mad.
I said, " if it's for my model car why can't you provide accurate directions?" The guy gave me BS. So i cut the sims off and there's no lag.

Just to rectify this,
HP gave me Lexus is300 directions and two sims. I thought it was the same application, but it wasn't. installed one sim, reset the bugger, and it runs fine.
case closed.

HAHAHAHAHAHAA.....When I installed my HP header w/ high flow cat, the only problem I had was it rubbing on the frame and having a leak caused by the donut gasket but all is now fixed and everything runs fine..Oh yea and I didn't even install that o2 sim box...LOL...my check engine light never even came on

Exactly, their wires are hellof retarded. The header itself works great. Top end power mostly. low end is kind of weak until vtec kicks in, and to be honest it still feels that it lags at 6500 rpms in second, although barely.
So is this or is this not a good set of headers for an auto lx. Also can you all tell me what you think of this set up, these headers with the hi flo cat and magnaflow exhaust. Appreciate it guys thanks.
Will the hp headers with hi-flow cat and the magnaflow cat back exhaust bolt of and fit correctly.
ok so about what i know the hp wouldnt be any problem for the lx/dx ,
the hp fit also on a ex here is is about my install i have it about a year now
and have no problems.
people say that you need to cut out some of the front motor mount.you could
do this but its not nessery just remove it problem fixed

but some have a problem that the header gets in contact whit the subframe
and will gif vibration on the car.this i wat i did ,just cut some metal of the
frame and no more vibration.

than the installing went pretty quick

so about the o2 sim console that comes whit the header.it doesnt need to
be installed.you will see that the engine light will come on.so i kept driving
around like that and the light would come on and go out.than i resset the ecu
and after that it didnt came on.
If i have been working on the car and disconect the neg. wen everything
is put back togehter and i start the car i came on did a reset and it was
fine again and has been for a year.

Ok so if i get the hp headers wtih hi flo cat and the magnaflow catback exhaust everything will bolt up and fit fine since the catback is for lx or ex? Also i noticed that in the pictures just posted it was on an 04-05 and mine is an 01 is this a problem?

So what you all you guys are saying is that the HP High Flow Cat has issues w/ being a direct bolt on like the manufact says it is... is it really wise top be removing your motor mount or even cutting into the frame... I mean, hell, the motor mount in there for a reason.. to keep the motor in one place.... after reading this thread I am actually considering sending my stuff back to truehonda.com.. I don't to have to alter stuff in that way.. chaning bolt ons is one thing.. taking a torch to my car is a complete different subject!

there's no issues with the cat..it bolts right on to your cat back.

True, one of the primary tubes will hit against the subframe; and, without doing anything it will be super annoying. You don't have to torch the subframe but that's the easiest way. You can buy a file and file that sucker down too. No shop will do it for you because it would be considered a liability if they weakened the substructure at all.

that seems a little dumb to me that, HP or anyone for that fact would release a product that does not fit properly... hopefully the guys that will be helping me with the install can figure something out...
So what was the consensis on the O2 Sensors from HP.. do we need to use them, or does it not matter? Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before the part gets here.
