Question on Adjusting the Throttle Cable
I can't really make sense of the DIY.
What 2 nuts, and where is the cable? Meh sorry about that.

Your all set! All you need to do is make sure the car does not idle any higher once warm.
Enjoy the added throttle response!

Awesome, just searched some more and found Gearbox DIY. Should I wait until my tachometer gets here before doing this so I know where I would idle at?

You want to know another way to reach it,without messing up anything, guaranteed. I will not adjust it from the engine. To maintain the stock driving, but also be able to reach WOT, you need to do it from under the gas pedal. There is a black piece being held on by one or two bolts or screws. Just find a socket that will fit it, and take them off. Now you pull the black piece up and out of the car. If your like me, you can lose it. It will make you reach WOT, and you wont have to worry about something you tightened being too tight, or coming loose. Try it my way, and you will be happy. In rush hour and stuff, why do you need to rev that much faster??? You dont, so you will be able t maintain the same ride, but when you want to just step on the gas a couple inches more down, and you will be exactly at WOT possibly more than the people who tightened it. All cars have that piece as part of the governer lately. The newer models anyways.

cool, it should only take like 5 minutes or so. You have to pull the carpet up by the gas pedal, and you will see the piece, that the pedal hits when you press the gas all the way down. Dont press the gas, but you will see the piece. Just get rid of that biyatch, and go for a drive, youll love it

if you manage to stretch the cable you should not be behind the wheel of a car... EVER

just for anyone else that has not managed to find it

Not at all. Sometimes I am like, go faster you little POS (since I drive a civic, hehe) and I just slam my foot into the ground. It can not possibley go down any further, believe me, I slam that sh** in there. I did this back in 2001 when I just got my car. Have not had one problem with it. You may want to cut a screw from the floor with a dremel or something, but I didnt do that. You may get a small little hole in the floor otherwise (if you slam the gas down like me). But it isnt even noticeable, since it is by your feet. But nothing at all has gone wrong with it, works perfect.
Meh, not entirely true... If you make the throttle cable too tight (way past spec), the risk of the cable snapping or stretching dramatically increases. You really shouldn't be making it tight as hell anyway, just tighten it enough to have a solid feel. In fact, the only reason you should be adjusting the cable is if you took the cable off for some reason or there's too much play in your pedal.
There's really nothing to be gained from tightening it past spec.

Agreed. People have broken cables here before. I would also like to point out that the cable is usually NOT in spec. When I checked mine it was 2 inches of slack when you push down instead of 0.5 inches!
