Rep Power: 310 mixing motor oil (by rating)
wanted to know if mixing motor oil is a good idea or bad? currently using "mobil 1" 5w-30 and thinking about using 2.7 quarts of that and a quart of "mobil 1" 0w-20. yay or nay? i live in cali weather if it matters. shining during day sometimes but raining/cold during this season.
what are the disadvantages/advantages if there are any?

Rep Power: 0 screw it just use 5 w 20, if the viscosity is too thin you are going to damage your internals crank, cam, etc. if its too thick you are going to have too much resistance, and could increase the oil pressure.
