without a/c, i beleive you would get a little more kick out of the car but ask yourself "is it really worth it?"
think about where you stay at.. is it hot, cold, harsh weathering, gotta get rid of the fog inside the front windshield somehow. if the price isnt dramatically different, i'd get it imo.

and where you from anyways?

its kinda fun to have the a/c on, when you need an extra little push I turn off the ac and watch those rpms rise slightly,

its a bit of extra weight but who cares

He must live in Canada, I didn't know that you could get any Civic other than maybe a DX without A/C. I thought A/C was standard equipment on all the Civics.

If he's getting a CTR, it's quite possible that he's from Europe somewhere. They do make the CTR available in other coutries outside of Japan.

In the U.S. they are standard with A/C except the DX and Value package Civic. But most of the dealers add it before it ever makes it up front.

I didn't think type r's came with A/C - since they're essentially race-ready cars, wouldn't Honda have eschewed such "luxuries" as a/c, cruise control, you know, stuff that doesn't matter to someone on a track? Just a thought.

A/C is Optional for new CTR's.

Personally, I can't live without A/C.
Get A/C for extra money.
