Hi,

I followed the DIY for removing door panel to change speakers, however when I got to the part where I had to remove the door handle/window button I had trouble taking the plastic pcs out to expose the screws. (I have an 04 sedan) On the driver side I couldn't find the place for me to lift out from, and on the passenger side, I pushed in a flate philips into the little hole at the front of the entire handle and tried to lift it out as much as I could without damaging anything but it didn't budge in any direction. How does that part come off exactly? For both doors.

Put in a small flathead in the middle of the top part of that cover plate - there's a little indent up there. Then once in, twist the screwdriver and pull it towards you at the same time. GENTLY! It takes a few tries the first little while, and you might need your second hand there to catch the edge and help pull it out. I'm so used to it I could do it with my eyes closed, freakin door panels have been out soooo many times.

i found that lil hole to be useless.. though i think thats where yer suposed to do it from... i shoved a screwdriver in the front (circle).. then just grabed ahold of it and pulled foward and towards me.. it poped right out no problem..

theres 4 screws.. the two that matter are the ones that matter are the outside ones.. when you go to take the pannel off i poped the lil cover by the mirrors off first.. dont know if you need to or not.. but i did... hmm.. maybe i should have red the diy on this..

if yer swaping yer speakers.. make sure you have a spacer thats like an inch.. the ones that come with speakers dont work at all..


this is what yer stock speakers look like (well.. after the cone has been torn off.. so crappy).. they are 6.5 inch speakers.. but the hole in the door is only about 4inches.. so unless you wanna do some retrofitting.. make sure you pick up a propper addapter..

thanks, the driver side handle was a lot easier to pop off!! I still can't pull out the one on the passenger side, it's either realy stuck or I'm doing something wrong, I guess I'll try to figure it out some more today. btw, what speakers are those againifall?

just yank the crap out of the passangers side one.. i thought i was missing something.. then i was just like "come on chester.. quit being a girl and pull the bitch".. and then it poped right off.. the screw set up is the same..
