Heating system

Does the 7th gen civic use an electronic heating system?

I would say no... seeing as the temperature of the car has to be warm before hot air starts coming out of the vents.

If it was electrical... the car temp could be freezing cold and it would blow hot air... but it doesn't do that.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm really curious too... I never thought about it till now.

I know there are filters that the air goes thru.
So it's not just blowing engine air onto you, But I don't actually think there
is a heating element.

I also could be wrong... it happened once before.

By electronic, I mean is the vent mode selection and recirculation motor controled electronically or do they use cables.

I would think they are electronically controlled, but I just want to make sure. I checked the Honda site they have no mention of whether their system is electronic or not.

The controls on the dash feed wires, not cables that are pulled.

The heater core is heated by coolant from the engine block.
