I've got the venom and it DOES work, its not the same as just flooring it all time. Anyways, I've done several time tests with it on and off, and its definitly quicker with it on. Its only a 4 wire hookup all under the hood, 2 on the battery (pos/neg) and 2 by the throttle body (tps and map) I mounted mine on the firewall right behind my intake. Thanks and good luck, just follow the instructions that come with it because it tells you the correct color wires to look for by the throttle body. later....

When i had it it felt like it helped quite a bit. I had mine inside the car so i could turn it on and off. I even raced a car and lost by a tiny bit i turned the venom on and beat him by 2 cars. I think this does really work and i don't really believe in any other products for the civic

If the venom 400 is not for your car and belong to another. The performance will not be as great and you might want to call up Venom to reporgram it for 59.95 . But be sure YOU ASK THEM FOR THE SIX DIGIT NUMBER IT SHOULD HAVE (***-***). ALSO BE SURE TO ASK THEM FIRST DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR NUMBER JUST INCASE THEY WANT TO LIE TO YOU.

I don't know the part number but the onw i have was off my 1999 Mercury Cougar and i'm sending it for reprogramming on my 2005 Civic LX.
I don't know who posted it but they said that i work really good for the non-VTEC civics. The EX and (LX, DX,VP) civics have differnt 6 Digits also 01-03 and 04-05. For the 2005 model the 2004 parts will work. Almost every part on a 2004 will work on a 2005. I konw, all the parts i've bought are for 04.

If anyone is wondering how the venom works i'll just say it.
All it does to manuel car is take-in more gas like bigger fuel injectors and speed up the coil to spark more. It make a big difference. But on Automatics it does that plus makes sure you hit red line. Very useful for the people who use ATUOMATICS. BUT............................................... .................................................. ..CAUTION: WHAT I'M ABOUT TO TELL YOU WILL HAPPEN AND YOU WILL BE PISSED. THIS ONLY AFFECT AUTOMATICS. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO TRIES TO TREAT YOU CAR LIKE A MANUEL AND YOU DON'T HAVE A SPORT SHIFT ON YOU CAR YOU WILL BREAK A BAND ON YOUR TRANSMISSION.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN YOU MAKE YOU TREAT YOU AUTOMATICS TRANSMISSION LIKE A MANUEL AND THE VENOM IS ON. YOU CAR WILL DELAY THE SHIFT PAST RED LINE AND INTO THE DANGER ZONE. SO MAKE SURE IF YOU DO THAT CRAP YOU SHIFT THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION EARLIER ABOUT 500 TO 750 RPM.
