Exhaust Installation Question
Exhaust Installation Question
My friend just gave me his old echaust he ad sitting around fot like 2 years. Its an Aerospeed exhaust system. This exhaust is a rear section for a 94 accord. Now that this rear section has been sitting around for 2 years in a garage it has some, seems like, spider webs and also believe some eggs in it. I know it sounds nasty, but I have a few questions. First can I clean out the rear section any way or do I need to? Second can I cut some of the pipe and modify it for my 04 Civic LX 2 dr M/T, and will it work for my car? Any responses greatly appreciated.

you dont need to clean out the spider eggs. my friend had some in his stock exhaust manifold when we were swapping things back. it will burn up with the exhaust gas. it smells like pop corn (no joke)!
you probably will need to modify the piping of the exhaust because i dont think it'll clear the sway bar and stuff.

At the very least you can cut the muffler off, and have a shop bend some 2.25" pipe for you, and weld that baby on.
I really don't think anyone on here is going to say the exhaust from a 94 Accord will swap out. It's not one of those things people try.

one more question I have for all of you ... is there any way i can get stronger exhaust holds so that the exhaust will not move so much. Last time I has an exhaust on my car one of holds I guess they are called bushings broke so there was rattling noise on turns until I got it replaced with another rubber one. Right now I have a stock exhaust back in the car.
