Yeah lift one side up if you must. Try putting the opposite side on first. I remember that switching the order and tapping it with a rubber hammer worked. I didn't have to jack the car up either.

Put one side on loosely, then raise the whole front end. Line up the other side, bolt it down, lower the car, torque both sides to 33 ft-lbs.

ok i can not get one hole to line up at all.. drivers side rear... ive jacked the car on both sides.. loosened all the other nuts up so they are almost off.. wiggled the bar around.. yanked on it.. had someone sit on one side while the other side was jacked up and no matter what i can do it will not go..
the closest i can get the bolt right to the edge of the hole.. but it just wont go in
heeeeeeeelp!

ok i got it.. my friend left but i got it alone.. good friggin god what a process.. i dont know why i didnt think of this when he was still here.. it would have taken like 2 seconds..
if you run into this problem.. have someone pull up on the middle of the bar (if they are short use yer belt).. then with yer foot push the bar in the direction it needs to go.. then with a block of wood and a 3lb sledgehammer give it a good wack and it will pop right on
"if it dont work, get a bigger hammer"
hehehehehe
