OK... i know they are both VTEC but the HX motor has the "VTEC-E" and make only 117HP as compared to the 127HP that the EX "VTEC" motor makes... my question is I want to buy a friends HX motor head and get it port and polished... would it be worth the effort to buy the HX head and have it port and polished? wouldn't it essentially be the same since i'd still be running my EX ECU??? or does the HX head have the weird oil squirters like that LX motors do??? lemme know and gimme all the details and specs possible please guys!!! thanks!!!

I think the hx actually closes an intake valve or something. It's designed to get lots of fuel economy, often around 40mpg. It doesn't work exactly like an ex head.
