SOME one Please HElp...for no apperant reason my car (at idel) just dies .. would a bad o2 censor cause this????.........and when im driving it feels like im hitting the breaks but im not....( i was driving in the rain the other day.. and it started to happen then. It's an 04, so it should still be under warranty. Take it into the dealer and have them check it out. I wouldn't rule out a bad sensor, but it could be other things as well.

Rep Power: 0 its ok...so could a bad 02 cencor cause this??? i think mine might of got water on it or somthin...it was runnin fine the other day. ( my o2 sencer has a splice in it were i connected my a/f ratio gauge)

Rep Power: 0 the only other thing i can think of is water in my engine somehow ( short ram intake) but the water was all inside my engine bay. ( it was raining that hard)

I think the o2 sensor would trigger the light.
Might wanna try reset'ing the ECU, and try using a fuel filter cleaner, (in the gas)
See if you notice any difference in the idle.
Also what does it idle at ?? below 1000 or does it just DIE really quick ?? ?

Rep Power: 0 Thank guys.. it turns out it was the 02 cencor. water had goten into the tape and well..i dont need to explain it...i took it off resliced the wires and clean'd the censor..it runs ok now. but im going to replace the thing....Checker wanted 400 BUCK for a new one...wtf is that!!...autozone has it for like 50
