Clutch Install Tricks

Hey I already know that changing the clutch is a pain on our vics. I already had to swap my tranny. I know your supposed to pull the subframe ect. but has anyone changed the clutch without dropping it? How did you do it?

i had to drop mine the only thing i didnt separate was the shock/spindle from the subframe and just laid it on the ground.

but it wasn't worth it, but make sure u have a big enough ball joint separator for the bottom 1, its bigger than ur standard separator.

Slide the tranny to the side and secure it there. There is plenty of room to work.

The hardest part was aligning the spline to the clutch AFTER the clutch was installed - if you don't line it up perfect, its not going to go on....
