Intake poping!

I was driving yesterday and my Intake made a loud pop and the rpm's kinda struggled for a little. I have a SRI. I'm gonna put my stock air intake box on today because I've been reading how it is better.

But what would cause this popping noise? It only started when I had the intake on. Thanks

sounds like back fire though intake my car did that for a while i jsut started using better gas and ran some injector cleaner though it once a fill up and it hasn't done it in 5 months
