Would any damage be caused if I took the belt off while driving? Other than the wheel being a bitch to move are there any other concerns?

"might be a challenge to take the belt off while driving..... "
haha funny
But seriously. I want to just take the belt off and get a feel for what it is like without. If I notice any gain in power then I'll remove the whole system.

I saw an old thread were a guy dynoed like 10whp more after removing the belt. Will removing the belt cause any damage to the system? That is all I'm concerned with. I don't want to screw anything up, but 10 hp would be worth the pain to me.

Well it looks like I'm gonna install the AEM pulley set I ordered and just leave the PS Belt off. Thanks to aznboysrfr for giving me some insight on this topic.
imagine if there was a car coming head on right at you. but since you took of the ps belt, you cant turn the wheel enough to avoid an accident. would it be worth the small hp gain?
*meant fast enough

well where was your opinion when I asked two days ago?
Any way what if the sky fell tomorrow? What if the sun never came up again?
We can play the what if game all day. I only drive my car back and forth to work and race on the weekends. Desperate naw. My philosophy is if I don't absolutly need then get rid of it. Performance over comfort. Eventually this car will be strictly a track car.
Not to mention I could always put the belt back on if I don't notice any gain or feel it is unsafe. Maybe you just need to get your weight up so you could hanlde it???
