Hey everyone, I finally got an extra day and decided to try ALLMAN's door panel DIY. I won't go into too much detail explaining it, since he already has a DIY for it. I have a sedan, so the door handle and rest are just held in by screws. All I did after that was rip out the old fabric, scratch off any remaining fuzz, cut new material using old template, and glue down to the panel with 3m adhesive spray. Then just tuck in the sides before the glue dries. Fairly easy mod I was able to do--just took long to find the white vinyl and spray. Around $20 for everything. Go to a fabric store for vinyl. Looks so good now. Thanks ALLMAN!!

The colors of vinyl they had at the store were white, black, blue, grey, and red. I didn't want colors, and the black would just be weird. I think the white matches nicely and stands out enough to make it worthwhile. I guess you could do grey for a stock look--what's the point then?
I'll take another pic of the panel on the car.

white on silver car? I would have fiberglassed and panited them or cover them in carbon fiber. You can get the carbon fiber cloth for a decent price off ebay.

Thanks for the comments. I hope they don't get messed up too quickly. The stock covers were already peeling off and bubbling up when I took them out.

I forgot to mention something. After spraying the glue, you have to press down the vinyl long enough for it the dry and stick. It may take a couple minutes. Otherwise, you'll have some of it peeling the next day.

You could also do grey vinyl for more of a stock look. It will still be better than that stock carpet piece.
Oh and the door handles come stock in chrome.

I would get vinyl, but you could also get some fabric as well. The gray would look fine as long as it's a different shade than the door panel (so it gives some contrast). The white really brightens up the inside, and I have a silver car.

I think it's a gray interior, not black. Here's what mine looks like. And you should do it. Easy diy, and the OEM fabric will start to fall off soon anyway.
