I would check a junk yard to see if you can find a civic with black trim to paint.
paint is not going to adhere too well to the chrome finish.. you should sand it down first

you can buy both of those peices from honda already painted. The front trim is for the coupe, and it it fits the sedan. Comes painted in all the factory colors. cheaper too. And the rear can be done the same way, just buy the rear trim for an '04 SEdan in whatever color your car is and switch it. Eaiser, and way cheaper than painting, and you could always switch it back later.
I forget exactly the part numbers. Go to http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/
and search, but basically, for the front, go under the coupe section and search for that peice of trim in whatever color car you have. It fits exactly. Then for the rear, youre gonna have to search under sedan parts, but make sure its for a 2004, and then jsut look for youre color. Or you can just go under the Retailer Forum on this site, a guy on there sells all stock OEM parts, just tell what you need, the year, color, etc.

Paint the back trim just buy a colour match from honda dealer ship.
The front trim if you paint it it will chip off very easily due to stone chips.
So my recommendation buy the front trim painted and paint the rear one your self.

I still just spend a few bucks and have an extra set if you deciede to go back though.

and there it is.. took about 25min..
i took enough pics to make a diy.. but well.. it was pretty friggin easy so no point in making one..
I'd like to have my trim pieces the same color of my car (NBP). I might buy the hood trim and paint the rear one. How do you remove the rear trim? I looked at it and couldn't see any screws holding it on. If anyone has removed and painted theirs could let me know what to do i'd appreciate it.
