Okay, I searched on this but couldn't find a clear answer. Does our car use a silghtly different throttle body for A/T, M/T, d17a1,d17a2, etc. Or do all 7Th gen's use the same exact throttle body? I checked the haynes manual and it does not distinguish. I am looking at three tb's right now and I can't tell a difference. I'm wondering if maybe the sensors are silghlty different. I need to know cuz I mixed up t/b's from a manual d17a1 and an auto d17a2.

Are there any real 7th gen techs who can answer this question?

Okay, that site doesn't have reverse part look up. Only a catalog by year, make, model, etc. I figured it out though.

I have an 03 lx auto (wifes car) and an 04 vp stick and I checked yesterday, we both have the same exact engine (d17a1).

Yeah... But I was asking about the throttle body. All of the d17 throttle bodies will look the same but they have different part numbers. I called honda and talked to a tech and he told me that the sensors on the tb are designed to work with that vehicles ecu(M/T,A/T,CVT,etc.) So lets say you have an ex (D17A2). Both the auto and manual have the same engine but the throttle bodies will have different part numbers.(GY79A=Auto and GY78A=manual). The honda tech said that if you were to put the wrong TB on you car, Your car will still run but you will loose acceleration.
