Thinking about custom intake

Has anyone made a custom intake? If so, what materials did you use? I was looking inot getting black pvc pipe and attaching it to the stock airbox. Then I could make pipe go to a cooler spot. Any ideas?

Really I never knew that, so how does a cold air or sri intake spin the air into the throttle body? or do they even do that properly?

Of course, if he just feeds cooler air into the stock resonator, this won't be a problem.

PVC Pipe is toxic but if your car is on fire I doubt you would be in it. But if it started to melt and the fumes got into the car,,,,,,Say bye bye. The fumes get into your lungs and hardens again cutting your lungs up. Plus the fumes themselfs could kill you too.
