Oh crap, how do I take this apart?

Ok, tonight while I was handing my gf some toll change, a dime fell down into the track that the automatic shifter is on. I reached down to get it, but it slid back into the casing. Can I disassemble this and get my dime back? I'm just worried that it might mess something up... like preventing me from being able to put it in gear.

If that didn't make sense, let me describe the area again. The shifter is on a black plastic track. When you move it forward and backward, this plastic track goes with it. The dime fell through the little opening between the rear end of this track and the plastic casing that surrounds it.

Oops.

2k2EXCOUPE will become famous soon enough
Yeah, take out the center console. There are some screws that hold the plastic square area around the shifter assembly thingy on the bottom. Pretty self explanatory when its apart so I wont go into more detail.

At that point youll either see it down there or can find it. That slider thing slides off too, if you need it to do that.

Any more questions on it, PM me. Ive taking the son of bitch apart a million times.

Whoa, your penny fell out and hit the pavement? hahaha. I saw it slide in, and then I moved the shifter to make sure it could still move, and then I heard it fall down and hit something, but I don't think it was the pavement. I'll check the ground tomorrow cuz it was just in my parking lot before I parked.
