simple intake Qs
simple intake Qs
ok so i went thourgh the 17 pages of results from my search so im pretty sure my question is legit.
when im buying an intake does it matter if my car is LX EX or DX? my friend told me that the throttle body sizes might be different but he wasnt sure.
also is it true that the only CAI that will fit my LX auto is the ingen one?
most threads i read were pretty old and i was thinking maybe there have been new products that came out.
and i am under the impression that all SRIs will fit MT or AT.
im planning to get a CAI for my LX auto but if the igen one is the only one that fits in the suto then im going with SRI

aem makes a cai for the lx and so do a few other companys.
IF YOU have an auto u need to get the auto designated intake.
The transmission is a factor when u get a CAI , the auto tranny is bigger has less clearance in the front of the engine bay...so its designed differently from the manual.

^ I remember some time ago they also had mentioned that on an auto the SRI had produced more gains than the CAI. I might be remembering wrong but I'm pretty sure that was one of the reasons for them not offering a CAI on an auto.
