engine error with de cat hi flow
Hi ,, can any one help me,, i have just installed a megan racing hiflow cat pipe and after a day the engine[ecu] light has come on.... after taking it to honda they tell me its because the ecu is getting an incorrect reading from the cat sensors,,, cat inefficient,,,
is there any one had the same problem??
is there any way around this??
honda say the sensors are ok and to put the cat back on!!!!

i have just installed a simulator from casper electronics,, its a small box with a male and female plug that goes in line with the post cat sensor.. the plug is located at the bottom left rear of the engine bay under the air box / intake.
its way down , but better than getting under the car, just unplugg the sensor and put the simulator in then plug then plug the sensor into it..
i dissconected the battery as the light didnt go off on its own,, just hope it stays off.....

Ya I would buy one if I knew It would take off the check engine light. Also I was worreid that having that on would maybe hurt the fuel maps or decrease fuel. WHen I first installed the high flow cat it came on after about 20 or so miles...
I have a 03 ex with Highflow cat /Header and /cat back
I looked it up but theres not that much info about the elimintor working....

Mine came on when I had my high flow cat put on, but I found out it was due to the idiots at the muffler shop putting the o2 sensor in the front of the cat, when it was supposed to go in the rear.
sorry this is it.....
