Any Perform Diff btw Universal & Model Specific Muffler?
hi all can someone pls advise if there's a differnce btw those Universal fitted muffler & a model specific made one? in terms of performance mainly.
Let's say granted both are of the same brand e.g. Supersprint. Am looking for 1 for my 03 civic EX. I would like to get a twin pipe one from my ride but the applicable model for supersprint is single pipe whereas universal fits has dual.
Thanks!

Vehicle specific means the manufacture of the exhaust has pre bent pipes from your CAT area back...
Universals require fabricated pipes to be used.
Performance? Hardly any, just another annoying BEE noise...
as for restriction; you won't even have to worry about that with a stock manifold, stock mid/down pipe and catalytic converter.
Your head doesn't even flow enough CFMs to require a practically straight pipe.
Get a nice HKS Sport muffler with twin outlets...it might help with the noise.
