Nah, I have an auto with 29k. I believe you should do it around 75k...
15k is ridiculously early, its not like changing ur oil! Its like a once or twice throughout the car's life kinda thing!

Manny tranny is on the 30s I believe.... but its so cheap, doing it every 15 wouldn't break the bank or be a bad thing. I did mine about 25K and it was pretty dirty, but I'm a little hard on it.. so I'll be doing it about 20 this time.
I changed my ATF at 2,500k and 5,000k to get out the break in metal shavings...I will change it every 15,000k just cause the fluid is cheaper than a new tranny...ATF is used to cool as well as lube...unlike manual tranny fluid.
