100K What needs to be done?

I have about 4K more miles to get to 100K miles. What things need to be done, besides: oil, oil filter, air filter cleaning (FIFKII), sparkplugs, brake fluid, brake check, flushing water/coolant.

Transmission Oil (auto) most recent replaced at 75K.

Does the car have a fuel filter that can be replaced with out dropping the tank?

Do I need to replace the Coils?

Other recommendations on what other things to do?

Thanks.

Where can I do this? Can I just take the head to any engine shop or does it need to be done at a Honda dealership?

Thanks.

I would say any reliable shop. I'm getting mine done at Honda this week. They told me it's $40 (canadian) if they check and it's not needed but if it is then you just pay an hour labor which is $72 Canadian.

Tighten the valves in the head to factory specifications. They can become loose over time and need to be adjusted. It's part of the 96,000 km warranty servicing on the 6thgen but they don't do it on the 7thgen so you have to get it done out of pocket

The valves and valve seats wear slightly after slapping each other for a long period of time, like 100k on new cars. You just remove the valve cover, set a cylinder to TopDeadCenter (valves closed), and use feelers to check valve clearance. ~15 minutes depending on how much you have to adjust. You hardly ever do this on new cars with hardened valve seats, but we check our datsuns (1971,1972) annually.

Feelers are just thin pieces of metal (almost like a popsicle stick), that are of different thicknesses that you stick under the cam lobe to determine its clearance. Anyways, I'd just pay a mechanic if you haven't done it before. I can't help you with the coils, I don't know enough about these Direct Coils yet. Good luck.
