Required Maintenance, What Should I do?
Hey everyone. I have an 01' EX Civic and I have about 35k on th odometer. Not that many miles for as long as I have owned it. But anyways, it is getting to that time where I should probably get it looked at, but I don't want to take it to the dealership, since they will charge me too much money for some small detail. I currently have changed the oil so I don't need to worry about that. Should I possibly go somewhere to get the transmission fluid changed, a tune-up? Thanks.
dont bring your car back to the dealership. they're gonna charge you like $150 just for them to look at your car and tighten a few things. the main. req. light is only there to remind you to check your oil, tranny fluid, stuff like that. then just reset the light.

Sounds good, do you all know of a good tranny fluid that I should use? I hear that they have synthetic fluids for trannys now just like with motor oil. Is there a DIY for changing the fluid as well? Thanks.
