Spoiler Install
So i have a Spoiler of the 6thgen SIR (SI) it fits my sedan perfectly, i just need it installed. The dealership says they need something called a TEMPLATE for the spoiler that is supposed to come with it. It is basically a paper that has the exact measurments on were to drill the holes in the Trunk. The dealershop does not have any,
Does anyone have this template? or know were i can get one from?
If i have this then i will do the install it myself instead of paying an hour labour for a body shop to do it, thanks

Hey, I see you got the spoiler in one piece. You don't really need the template. Just do as the instruction tells you. It has those locator pieces ( the 4 black ones) that goes into the holes in the spoiler and have some tape to hold it on. and align it as best as you can and tape the locator tabs down. It'll take a while for it. I got mine to pretty much on the factory drill holes.
Post a pic when it's all done.

Hey,
I was an idiot and payed someone to do it for me when I could have easily done it myself. But when I was watching them do it on the backside of the trunk there were already pre-grooved holes for where to drill...dunno if its the same for you or not so you might wanna check that out too...

The factory drill holes wouldn't be able to fit the 6thgen spoiler. I've looked at it, and after the measuring and align of mine. It its off by like a centimeter. So best bet is to use the locator strips, and take your time to install it.
Oh for extra measures.. I had some masking tape on the trunk lid where your gonna be drilling. Helps out when you do the drilling and there are metal flakes that comes off. doesn't scratch the paint, and take a vaccum and suck it all up.
