(i took the pic from boilermakers diy on the JIC install. thanks boilermaker)
i broke one of these bolts when i was taking off my wheel to adjust my hayames...how much would it cost to get this fixed from honda? and i'm pretty sure this is a bad idea...but the honda dealership is about 10 miles away from my house, and i was wondering if driving on it if it would hold out that long. or just cut my losses and get a tow truck?

it cost my cousin $280 to fix a broken stud @ honda.
if you do a search on the forum, you can find a fix that cost like $80 or so.
If you only broke 1 stud, you can still drive around a bit. Just drive like a grandma and you should be fine until you can get it fixed.

don't worry about it. I'm driving around on 3 wheels held on by only 3 studs each. Stupid f*cks at the tire place didn't torque them when they put my tires on the new wheels and when I went to take them off 3 studs broke. They're fixing it for free though so it's all good.

Surely it can't be that difficult? Just take off the caliper, rotor and extract the hub, tap the broken stud out and tap a new one in? Studs aren't that expensive. (or is that the domestic in me thinking it's that easy?)

whenever i do that, i just go buy a new one, pull the rotor off, pull the broken one out (pounding it out with a mini sledge..or something) and use the lug nut to pull the new one in place... costs me 15 bucks.. maybe.. depends on the cost of the stud and how many studs... thas the way my dad taught me how to do it..
