im thinking about either getting nitrous or turbo. currently i have an automatic tranny thats slow as all hell. i was wondering, would it be cheaper to build up the automatic tranny or get a manual swap? and in the end would the difference in performance between the two be very significant? how much would it cost to build up automatic/do a manual swap?

I dont thin you have to build up an auto tranny for turbo. If you turbo on auto all you gotta get is tranny collant.

nitrous can go on stock tranny too.

Not 100% sure, correct me if i'm wrong.

A torque converter would help.
I saw one that promiced .5 of a sec of a quarter.
I have an automatic...I just let off the gas when the car is
about to upshift and I can get through the gears faster.
I think Elite did a tranny swap.I wouldn't do it because i would get nickled and dimed to death with the parts.I would just buy a manual civic, but there are so many other cars that have so much more potential than 7th gen civs:...integras,preludes,celicas,240sx,eclipses(g s-t or GSX),GTI.About anything other than a civ.Good Luck
