If you live in Placentia (We used to call it P-Town), I don't know if there is one around there. There are a couple speed shops in Anaheim that I know carry redline, but the last time I was in OC i called everyone and they did not carry the 5w-20 grade... go figure. Red Line is based in nor Cal, and I got mine 2 days after I ordered it from the factory. Ditto for the K&N oil Filters I got from an online house.
EDHS Forever, lol. Class of 2000, At UCSD now.
People seem to be confused about what grade the filler cap says to put in the motor. whatever the owners manual says for california temps, PUT IT IN!

Ha, thats funny, i live in Pleasanton California, its in norcal and everyone there calls it p-town as well..
I always change my own oil, I have ramps.......our civics come with 5w-20 (thin oil) best for our cars. This is what our cars use stock. I use regular 5w-20
change 5,000- 7,500 miles. Regular 5w-20 helps our civics run better gas miles per gallon and our civics run better. I don't know why your civic says 5w-30. must not be 2002-2004 civic?
Also man, don't warm your car up if you change the oil! You won't be able to
touch anything Hot!!! Just turn it on to get it up the ramps. The oil filter and oil will be HOT! Like the others said the old oil will shoot out likely if you have oil in your car. The filter is a bit of a reach up there from below, but you can get it with a oil wrench (at advance, autozone, pep boys) and like others said you should put a new washer (which they will give you free at parts dept. at Honda Dealers ) on your oil plug, but isn't mandatory. I have used the old one several times. If you don't want to bother with it, just take it to the dealer (with a coupon) , not a quick lube shop , they will likely strip your oil plug! you can use a fram or purolator oil filter and I use Castrol GTX 5w-20. If you do change your own you can also look under inspection your axle boots, tie rods, cv - joints, loose pipes, etc. Hope this helps.
