Anybody heard of a VTEC-E?

So there can never be any aftermarket camshaft for our cars since it will probably not be able to idle(12V mode) on a high lift cam lobe profile.
Unlike the older gen civics whereby camshafts which have only a higher lift on the higher lobe of the 3 lobes can be produced. Demore.....

The D17A6 is a true 12 switch to 16 engine. D17A2 has the secondary lobe profile higher than A6.
If an aftermarket camshaft is made, it can only do anything to the primary. It will still be idling good as long as the the total intake volume at idle doesn't get too big.
