Brake bleeding order

Can anybody tell me what order to bleed the brakes for a 2003 Civic LX. I ordered a helms manual but it looks like it won't be here in time for a pre-autocross season brake bleeding party tomorrow. I believe that you're supposed to it it closest to the master cylinder first, but I would like to know the exact order for the car going in. Thanks.

Either closest to furthest or furthest to closest, your choice.

I prefer the former to the latter, but thats personal pref.

When you say left, do you mean drivers side (and right is passengers side)?

Just making sure because I've picked up incorrect tie rod ends by screwing up the above before.

Closest tire to master cylinder is the first to bleed, furthest away is the last to bleed.

I'd do it this way, given the location of the Master Cylinder:
Driver Front
Passanger Front
Driver Rear
Passanger Rear

Note that I've not crawled under the car yet, but that would seem to be the most logical, as the ABS unit and Master Cylinder are on the drivers side, therefore the tubing to the rear brakes likely goes back along the drivers side of the car...

I own the helms manual, it states this order:

driver front,
passenger front,
passenger rear,
driver rear.

I've done this twice so far.. It's awesome to see all the dirt/air coming out of the lines.. makes your car feel like new! (well, in the mind at least)

Thanks for the info everyone. I hope I can return the favor when my Helms manual comes Monday (two days after the brake bleed party).

i'm going to be changing by rotors, pads, and fluid soon and i've always heard that you go furthest from MC to closest.

furthest from the master cylinder is the stand by method. on modern cars with ABS you some times have to go in other orders to get all the air. do what you want but i go DF, PF, PR, DR
